Companion
Companion is free, open-source software that turns Elgato Stream Deck and similar devices—or virtual web/emulated buttons—into professional control surfaces for AV, broadcast, presentation, and automation equipment.
Why it stands out
It is brand-agnostic and community-driven, controlling hundreds of products across vendors while remaining permanently free and open source, and it works even without physical hardware via its built-in emulator, web buttons, and OSC/TCP/UDP/HTTP/WebSocket/ArtNet triggers.
